A razzle-dazzle musical with a bright, infectious score! Charming and witty, "Me and My Girl" tells of a Cockney lad who inherits the title and fortunes to the Earl of Hareford. This beguiling musical is filled with energetic dancing lilting songs, including "The Lambeth Walk," "Leaning On a Lamppost," and "Me and My Girl." The show was the recipient of three Tony Awards and five Drama Desk Awards.

LA Times by By David C. Nichols
Old-fashioned flair enlivens "Me and My Girl," continuing Musical Theatre West's 50th anniversary season in Long Beach. This revival of the 1984 revision of Lupino Lane's 1937 London hit is a breezy delight, courtesy of director-choreographer Roger Castellano and a marvelous ensemble.

Long Beach staging of the retro musical is lavish, enjoyably frothy old-fashioned frivolity.

Musical Theatre West's latest effort, "Me and My Girl," is one of those shows only a curmudgeon would pan. It's colorful, silly, upbeat, with catchy songs and dances (including the '30s answer to the macarena, "The Lambeth Walk" ') and plenty of signature British wit.

"Me and My Girl" is quite simply an old-fashioned musical delight.
This Musical Theatre West production is the story of a 1930's cockney lad who inherits a fortune and must prove himself to be "An English Gentlemen" before he can get his hands on the money. To complicate matters the new aunt Duchess in his life feels his fiance is unsuitable for his new title as well.
