MUSICAL THEATRE WEST PRESENTS Musical Theatre West presents CHRISTMAS AROUND THE WORLD on December 10, 2003 at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach. This years performance will continue the tradition that Musical Theatre West has established by bringing together many of the stars of past productions in an all new celebration of the Holiday Season. The cast will include Elna Binckes (KISS ME, KATE), John Bisom (JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and SHE LOVES ME), David Burnham (LA CAGE AUX FOLLES and HOT MIKADO), Ira Denmark (CRAZY FOR YOU and SHE LOVES ME), Carol Dennis (KISS ME, KATE and HOT MIKADO), Kim Huber (SCARLET PIMPERNEL and BRIGADOON), Christa Jackson (ALWAYS...PATSY CLINE), Elizabeth Ward Land (KISS ME, KATE), Norman Large (LA CAGE AUX FOLLES), Kevin McMahon (CRAZY FOR YOU and ME & MY GIRL), Tami Tappan Damiano (CRAZY FOR YOU and SINGIN' IN THE RAIN) and Jamie Torcellini (FORUM and HOT MIKADO). Joining these cast members will be Long Beach community favorites the Surf City Singers from the Academy of the Performing Arts at Huntington Beach High School, the Long Beach Children's International Choir and excerpts from the Long Beach Ballet production of THE NUTCRACKER.. The show features a live orchestra on stage under the direction of Darryl Archibald whose MTW credits include SWING! and THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND with choreography provided by Lee Martino whose most recent MTW work was for the critically acclaimed production of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES. Highlighting the performance will be an invitation to the youngsters in the audience to join the cast and Santa Claus on stage.
